Every parent of a child with autism, down syndrome, or other disability, especially if your child can’t communicate well, we know our child can be a higher flight risk and if lost he may not know how to get back home or talk with law enforcement. An ID bracelet could be a very helpful thing in those situations. What if an emergency like a wildfire were to separate your child from your family? In scenarios such as these an ID bracelet could be a life saver!

Let’s answer some questions you might have:

Q: Who gets a code?
A: Parents of children with disabilities living within Shasta County. Any age, any race, any religion, any height, any weight.

Q: What if your child won’t wear a bracelet?
A: There are other products you can use the code on such as necklaces, things that attach to shoes and backpacks, and more. We trust your discretion and leave it in your hands.

Q: How do you use the code?
A: You go to RoadID.com, choose your products and when you “check out” you’ll see the field to enter a gift card or discount code. When you enter your code into that field you’ll suddenly get a $40 credit like magic!

Q: How do you get yourself a code?
A: Call RFENC at (530) 226-5129 and ask for Shane.
NOTE: Shane will ask you a question or two to verify your eligibility and then he’ll get your email address. Yes, we could simply give you the code over the phone but sending you an email will prevent a lot of possible confusion. When we send it via email, rather than reading it to you over the phone, we won’t get mixed up over B’s and C’s and numbers or letters that rhyme – that sort of thing.

Q: Are these bracelets designed for special kids?
A: No. They were originally designed for athletes such as marathon runners and long-distance cyclists who can find themselves training alone on the road.
